Amy's Story.....
In the fall of 2008, Amy was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer. This rare form of cancer is not curable, but it can be controlled through treatment and a potential transplant. Amy’s treatments are extremely costly and are often not covered by medical insurance, resulting in significant expenses for the family over the past year.
Married for over 20 years, Amy and her husband Dave live in Ham Lake, Minnesota with their two daughters, ages 13 and 15. The Nelsons enjoy many activities together as a family, including sports, camping trips and an enthusiasm for the outdoors. From the start, they have faced this diagnosis just as they have approached the rest of their lives: together.
