5-Spice Zucchini Bread

Butter and Flour for Pan
1-1/4 Cups Flour
1 Egg
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1/4 Cup Oil
1 Container Unsweetened Natural Applesauce
3/4 Cup Sugar
3/4 Tsp Salt
2 Tsp Chinese 5-Spice Powder
1/4 Tsp Ground Pepper, freshly ground
1/4 Cup Sesame Seeds
2 Cups Zucchini, coarsely shredded
2 Tbs Pine nuts

What to do:
* Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour dust load pan. In a bowl, beat eagg to blend, add oil, sugar, five spice powder and pepper. Beat until mixture is well combined then stir in zucchini.
* Stir together flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder and sesame seeds. Stir gently into zucchini mixture. Scrape batter into loaf pan, sprinkle pine nuts on top. Bake about 1 hour. Let bread cool for 10 minutes. Then invert onto a rack and set upright to cool completely before slicing or wrapping airtight.
