Hamburger Gravy

2 lbs. Lean Hamburger or Ground Turkey
1 Small Onion (chopped)
Olive Oil
1 Can Mushroom Pieces & Stems
1 Can 98% Fat Free Cream of Chicken Soup
1 8 oz. Fat Free Cream Cheese (or reduced fat)
Whole Wheat Extra Wide Noodles
3 Tbsp Flour
1-2 Tsp Garlic Powder (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)

What to do:
* Cook noodles & set aside
* Saute the onions in a little olive oil
* Add mushrooms & heat
* Add hamburger, garlic powder & pepper; brown
* Add flour (this is to thicken it up & make it stick together)
* Add cream of chicken soup & sour cream; heat
* Serve over noodles
* Serves 6-8

Note: This is my take on one of my husband's favorite dishes from childhood (his mother used to make it). This is what my good friend Peggy calls "Poor Man's Beef Stroganoff". Come to think of it, there are a lot of dishes I make that she calls "Poor Man's" - what's up with that?
